Hollywood Director and Entertainment Consultant,

Joie Gharrity, Founder of Joie G 113 is an accomplished business owner and entertainment consultant with 15+ years’ experience in film production, broadcast television, original web content, branded entertainment, and online talent development. Joie got her start in the movie industry working for Centropolis Entertainment on the science-fiction film Stargate. She then went on to work for director Roland Emmerich on the alien invasion feature Independence Day, which grossed one billion dollars worldwide. Gharrity continued to work with Emmerich on Godzilla which was celebrated for its extensive advertising and marketing campaign.

She went on to direct the globally recognized short film, The Grail. It is Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Countdown. The film which premiered at the Fantasy & Horror Film Festival in Pasadena and at the Festival of Fantastic Films, UK and won the Best Independent Short Award and was produced by Oscar nominated Patrick Tatopoulos. Upon it’s release Gharrity was inducted into the Directors Guild of America. The film was profiled in Fangoria, the internationally distributed fan magazine specializing in the genre of horror.

Gharrity was hand-picked by the ABC Studio President as a creative development executive to launch the first multi-media startup business for The Walt Disney Company. Responsible for producing several original web series for ABC,ABCFamily, Disney.com, Crackle, Hulu, YouTube, iTunes, XBox, and eBaum’s World, she is credited with the successful development of the Bridgette Dale Channel, the first video blogger personality to premiere on Disney.com.

Additionally, Gharrity oversaw the development of the Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora, a multi-media interactive lifestyle/cooking web series along with Muppet Studios on Disney.com which was nominated for a Webby Award. Involved with all aspects of the business development and sales, Gharrity also implemented the Talent Development & Diversity Internship Program, a first-of-its-kind mentorship that teaches college students necessary skills in creative development.

After returning to the Bay Area, Joie was inspired to launch Joie G 113. Her client list includes entrepreneurs, directors, producers, actors, screenplay writers, online influencers and livestream host. Joie works on various web series, film and TV projects, and regularly consults on script development, talent branding, sales packages and has an enviable list of contacts.
